This DIY Jewelry Cleaner could not get much easier. It’s not only simple, it’s frugal too. There is a good chance you already have everything you need to make it, right in the kitchen.  Always check with the manufacturer or the jewelry store before you use any DIY Jewelry Cleaners.

To make the DIY Jewelry Cleaner you will need Palmolive and warm water. I told you it was simple! is Palmolive is available in a variety of scents and formulas. When I make DIY Jewelry cleaner, I use original formula.

My grandma has been washing her dishes with Palmolive Original for over 80 years. Yep, everything is washed by hand, no dishwasher for her. She also hasn’t removed her wedding rings for 70 years. During those  70 years she has washed a lot of dishes and her rings still look great. I know I can trust Palmolive Original for my jewelry cleaning needs. My Grandma would never steer me wrong.

Make your own DIY Jewelry Cleaner

  • Palmolive
  • Warm water
  • Soft-bristle brush (I use a $1 makeup brush)
  • Soft cloth (cut up old t-shirts work great)

Soak jewelry in a solution of two cups warm water and a few drops of Palmolive. Soak jewelry for 15 minutes. Remove from cleaner and gently scrub with a soft-bristle brush. Rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
