Notes on making the perfect apple pie smoothie:

If you don’t have apples, replace the apples with 2 cups of apple sauce instead.

If you can’t find granny smith apples, any other type of apple will work. However, the product may be a bit sweeter in the end. Granny smith apples lend the best flavor.

Don’t have apple juice? That’s ok! Just replace with more of your milk of choice. You’ll use a total of 1 cup of milk instead of ¾ cup.

If you want to add in protein powder, you may need to adjust the amount of milk. Add up to ½ cup more of your milk of choice.

Another fun idea is to swap out the milk for a premier protein drink (or any other prepackaged protein shake)! This is a great way to get in protein and vitamins without that signature powdery taste you get with protein powder.

If the smoothie is too thick, you can add additional almond milk.

I hope you enjoy the great tastes of fall with this Apple Pie Smoothie.
