Back to School DIY Binder Covers

I know it seems like we are just getting into the groove of the summertime routine, but the “I am bored” whine is starting to rear its ugly head in our home.  In anticipation of the “I am bored” whine, I have been stocking up on boredom busters like craft supplies. This week we started working on some back to school projects. Nothing makes school age kids happier than a table full of stuff that they can use to craft and create and DIY binder covers were the perfect project.

Super Cute and easy DIY Binder Covers Every time we visit our local Dollar General store the kids automatically head to the racks of decorative tapes. We have a large collection of Tape Trendz Designer Tapes.  The tapes are so versatile and can be used in most craft projects we embark on. Use inexpensive duct tape to create DIY Binder Covers I loaded up the kids with a variety of colors and patterns of tape and let them go to town making their own Back to School projects. This is such an easy project and the kids really had a great time 0personalizing the DIY Binder Covers to their own tastes. DIY binder cover supplies

How to Make a DIY Binder Covers

To make your own DIY Binder Covers you will need to pick up a few supplies. We started with the 1-inch binders that have clear pockets on the front and back.

Colored poster board and an assortment of Tape Trendz in a variety of sizes, colors an patterns. Put DIY Binder Covers in a View Binder You will have to cut your poster board to the size needed to fit inside your clear pocket. It doesn’t have to be a perfect fit. Then let the kids choose their patterns and colors and get creative. If you like you can use the tape to decorate the binding of the notebook, too. Teenager creating DIY binder cover
