Caesar Salad Fries? Yes you are reading it correctly, a salad with fries! If you have ever eaten in a college town, you may have ordered a salad and been surprised when it arrived topped with french fries. That happened to me and at first I was like “this is wrong.” but when I tasted them, I changed my thinking to “this is so right!” A normal Caesar Salad is heavy laden with dressing, croutons and cheese. We decided to brighten up our Caesar Salad a bit and add a new twist, Alexia Sweet Potato Fries.

Once the weather starts to warm-up in PA, salads become a staple on our menu. Finding ways to serve wholesome foods made with all natural ingredients is easy with Alexia Sweet Potato Fries with Sea Salt. All Alexia Products are high quality and always a crowd pleaser. You can definitely dress up your recipes and still feel good about what you are feeding your family. We often eat Alexia fries and Alexia Crispy Onion Rings as a side dish, but this was the first time they made it onto a salad plate. I was more than pleased with the results of this recipe.

The Sweet Potato Fries added the perfect amount of sweetness and everyone ate seconds!  Alexia Sweet Potato Fries are so versatile and really made this recipe a stand out.  You can serve Caesar Salad Sweet Potato Fries with pride! This recipe would taste great with the Alexia Rosemary and Sea Salt Fries, too.

Besides the natural ingredients, great flavors and bright colors, the next best thing about this recipe is it’s ready in less than 20 minutes! Plus, to my surprise when I ate the leftover Caesar Salad Fries on Monday, they still tasted great and truthfully they may have even tasted even better 2 days later!

To whip up this quick and tasty recipe you will need pick up ingredients at Walmart. Romaine Lettuce, Alexia Sweet Potato Fries with Sea Salt and a few things to make your own dressing. Caesar dressing is a bit too heavy for my tastes, so I used a Greek Yogurt Dill Parmesan Dressing. Using Greek yogurt  and a few simple ingredients to replace the egg and anchovies in regular Caesar dressing  will keep your salad light and fresh, the way a salad is supposed to be.

Greek Yogurt Parmesan Dill Dressing

  • 1 and 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt (low or no-fat)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup light mayo
  • 2 tablespoons  lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh dill
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese

Put all ingredients, except Parmesan cheese in a mason jar and shake well. Once dressing is well blended, add Parmesan cheese and shake until well blended. Chill and serve cold.

Yield: 2 cups
