Serve Chili Dog Taco Boats on the Big Game Day!
My recipes come to me late at night as I wonder the grocery aisles at Walmart. During the late night there aren’t many people in the store, so I can take my time and let the creative juices flow.
You can often find me in the International aisle, because it hosts some of our favorite foods. We all love tacos, they are easy to prepare and can suit just about any taste preference.
Looking at the large selection of Old El Paso Products inspired me to craft this Chili Dog Taco Boats recipe. Easy to make, easy to serve and easy to clean up. SCORE! This recipe is already a winner.
Serve Chili Dog Taco Boats on the Big Game Day
All you need to do is fill up an Old El Paso Tortilla Boat, add your favorite toppings and dig in. Old El Paso has a variety of Tortilla Boats to choose from. Head to Walmart and buy a selection of whole wheat, mini soft, and soft tortilla to keep the whole crowd happy. If you need a gluten-free option the Old El Paso Bold Ranch Stand and Stuff, Bold Spicy Cheddar Stand and Stuff, and Bold Nacho Cheese Stand and Stuff Shells are perfect, too.
The only real prep for the chili dog taco recipe is the filling. You will need ground meat (I used turkey and venison), hotdogs, sloppy joe sauce and Old El Paso Red Enchilada Sauce.
You can customize your toppings bar any way you like. My toppings were onion, avocado, tomatoes, Old El Paso Jalapenos, black olives, cheese and sour cream.
Set up a cute display with some football theme party decor that you can also find while wondering the aisles at Walmart and your ready to provide a big game meal for the record books.
