Stop smoking. This one is often one of the most difficult ones to manage, but can be the biggest frugal health change you can make. Not only is smoking dangerous for our health, it can be a very expensive habit. For some individuals this can be upwards of a few hundred dollars per month saved.
Limit alcohol intake. While alcohol in limited quantities can be without effect on your health, it can become a costly habit. Limit alcohol intake to the special occasions instead of every day. A bottle of wine every few days can quickly add up to a few hundred dollars spent over the course of the year.
Exercise more often. This one is hard, but the importance is there. Use our frugal exercise tips and you’ll be able to afford it easier. Exercise equals healthier body which means fewer expenses later on to deal with.
Stop the drive thru habit. Whether it is take out on the way home, or the specialty coffee on the way to work the drive thru can really pack on the pounds. Not only does it strip your budget quickly, it is filling your body with foods that are bad for you.
One of the best things you can do for your frugal budget is to take care of your health. Unexpected health crisis are one of the largest reasons families end up in debt. Taking care of your body and working to drop bad health habits will protect not only your health but your budget.
