Easy Ways to Keep Your Brain Healthy and Active post is sponsored by Jigsaw Puzzle but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
My own health and wellness is something I like to think that I have a good hold on. Eating better and moving more are always on the back of mind. One thing that was rarely on my mind was keeping my brain healthy and active. As a woman in the mid-life stage, brain health is something I need to think about more. Mental alertness and cognitive function decrease with age and I am definitely no spring chicken.

Keeping your brain healthy and active is so important!
Thankfully it’s easier than you think to keep that brain moving. One of the ways I keep my brain healthy and active is by playing games. Pulling out a board game or a puzzle used to be my way to unwind at the end of a crazy day. Now, things look a little different. Since my husband and I are empty-nesters the game playing isn’t what it used to be. He’s not a fan of games and I can’t coax him to join me, so I had to figure out my own ways to play!
Now I use apps on my phone or tablet to unwind each night. I’ll put my feet up, grab a warm drink and play the Jigsaw Puzzle App on my phone. Playing the game feels like the real jigsaw puzzle experience like moving pieces around on a table. Now I don’t need to find ways to keep puzzles up on the dining room table for days! Jigsaw Puzzle has a large selection of beautiful puzzle packs featuring nature, animals, food, artwork, patterns, and crafting that change daily.
There are over 20,000 puzzles to choose from and you decide how many pieces you want to solve. You play up to 1024 puzzle pieces on tablets and 400 puzzle pieces on phones. I’ve done puzzles that are only four pieces and am slowly working my way up to 100. Finishing a puzzle is so rewarding! Each challenge is another way to keep that brain healthy and active.
I challenge you to find fun ways to keep your brain active and healthy! Download the Jigsaw Puzzle App and start playing today!
