Volunteer to Help Guide the Future of Health is a sponsored post in partnership with All of Us PA and The Motherhood. All opinions shared are my own honest experiences.
What comes to mind when you hear the words, “Future of Health?” Wow. So many thoughts are flowing through my head. The health of our populations should be at the forefront of all thinking.
Last week over lunch with a friend we were pondering the stages of our family member’s health and quite honestly we were perplexed about the state of disease in this country. It just seems like we should be making progress much faster than we are.
I can’t tell you how excited I was to learn that right now the All of Us Research Program is hard at work to speed up research and medical breakthroughs. These studies might change the lives and outcomes of so many! Learn more here All of Us PA.
All of Us PA is part of a nationwide program run by the National Institutes of Health called All of Us. The University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania was awarded grant monies in the sum of $4.2 million for the first year, with a potential of up to nearly $67 million over the next five years, to build the infrastructure needed to launch the program.
Volunteer to Help Guide the Future of Health
Would you like to be part of this valuable research? It’s easier than you think! You can volunteer by participating in the All of Us Research Program. The goal of the program is to engage one million or more U.S. participants to revolutionize how disease is prevented and treated based on individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and genetics. Each of us brings a unique perspective to the table. All of Us PA needs the help of many. Please volunteer to help guide the future of health.
All of Us Pennsylvania plans to enroll 120,000 patients in the region, and fund pilot studies using accrued data to advance precision medicine care. Precision medicine or personalized medicine is health care that is based on each individual. It takes into account factors like where you live, what you do, and your family health history and genetics. Right now there are 8,000 participants in the program. That’s why they need all of us, to sign up to help support the future of health.
By signing up for this study, you might just help change the future of health and medicine as we know it today. You may improve your or others’ health and you may improve healthcare for your children. All of your personal information will be kept confidential and as a participant, you will get a small stipend for volunteering.
