Moving More: Walking with Confidence

Being a woman is hard. Let’s face it ladies, things don’t get easier and our bodies don’t work the same as we get older. I continue to struggle with maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I want to eat better, be moving more and take better care of me. But it’s HARD! That amazing body of ours throws us a few curves, in more ways than one. Bladder leakage, sleep troubles, aches, weight gain; the struggle is real.

Move More Walking with Confidence

I am committed to striving for a healthier 2016. I want to be moving more and walking at least 10,000 steps a day. That may sound like a high number of steps to some, but it’s easier than you think. You can move more just by walking extra steps during your daily routine.  I am reaching my 10,000 step goal daily (sometimes even more) and doing it with confidence. Thanks to Poise, a fitness tracker and lots of prayer, I am getting there one step a time and you can too!

Walk with confidence

First things first, I had to get past the fear of just doing it. I received a fitness tracker as a gift and it’s been a kick in the butt in a good way. Each day I am moving more to achieve and even exceed my daily step goal. Now that I am moving more, I still need to address some of those pesky issues of being a woman in her 40’s. A workout, a walk or even a flight of steps can mean light bladder leakage for this girl’s body. Using the new Poise Thin Shape Pads  has helped me stop using the my body as an excuse not to move more. I can go to the gym, meet friends or attend a fitness class and not worry about bladder leakage getting in the way.

Walking is the easiest way to increase your physical activity and move more each day. Think about your day and purposefully add more steps. Taking those 10,000 steps each day has really made me feel better inside and out. Moving more and making sure I have bladder leakage protection gives me the confidence to wear bright colors, visit the gym and even dance in front of strangers.

Good for you! I lost 90 pounds in 2013 and part of my routine was walking! Eating well and moving around, (even if it’s low impact like walking or step aerobics) is a great way to get in shape. 🙂

Great job! I have recently started walking, too. I need to get fitness tracker or pedometer to find out if I’m walking as much as it feels like.

I am planning to start walking again. I have back issues and it resulted in a lot of sitting, which in turn caused weight gain. I am planning back surgery in the coming year and seriously need to lose around 30 pounds before I schedule it.
