Nutritious Food Choices in the freezer section of the Grocery Store, is that even a thing? As more and more consumers like myself are choosing to pay closer attention to the foods we eat, the choices at the grocery store are finally catching up.

Are you busy, but want to find ways to eat better even when you are crunched for time? If so, let’s look at a few options that can meet your needs.

As a busy business owner, I like choices. While I try as hard as I may to choose whole foods and cook from scratch, that isn’t always my reality. Being able to find trusted brands at my local stores that I know are committed to quality is important to me. Having a wide variety of options based on my specific dietary needs just makes my life easier on those days when it needs to be that way.

Today I am sharing a few of the nutritious food brands I tested out that you can find in the freezer section at the local grocery store.

Nutritious Food Choices at the Grocery Store

Gardein Classic Meatless Meatballs

Gardein Classic Meatless Meatballs are always certified vegan, non-GMO, dairy free and kosher. They have
14g of protein per serving and you can have them ready to serve straight from the freezer in eight minutes or less. I tossed them with a simple homemade BBQ sauce and they were an easy lunch. Being able to have a meal on the table in less than eight minutes would be fabulous for me! Gardein Classic Meatless Meatballs delivered great taste and texture. They are helping me bring hubby to the vegan options team!

Udi’s Sweet Potato Crust Chicken BBQ Pizza

Udi’s BBQ Flavored Chicken Pizza is gluten and grain-free. This pizza has a crust made from sweet potatoes and is topped with just the right amount of mozzarella and smoked gouda cheese, sweet BBQ sauce, and white meat chicken. It was ready in 10 minutes, so hubby and I enjoyed an appetizing it as a late night snack! He ate more than I did and even commented on the great taste and texture. He’s slowly coming to my side and trying more nutritious foods.

Birds Eye Veggie Made™  Garlic Chicken

Easy lunches are my favorite. You can take a Birds Eye Veggie Made™ single-serve bowl with you in your lunch box. Your lunch will be made with premium ingredients from the brand that knows how to make vegetables taste great. Surprise the pasta is made from 100% vegetables. We’re all trying to find ways to eat more veggies, so here you go!
You can get a half-cup of vegetables per serving and enjoy every bite of this delicious comfort food.

Birds Eye Veggie Made™ Mac & Cheese

I think the Birds Eye Veggie Made™ Mac & Cheese surprised me the most. Mac & Cheese is my all-time favorite comfort food and Birds Eye did not disappoint.  The taste and texture were just right!

It’s packed with all the flavors you expect and is made with 100% vegetable pasta.  I tried the Mac & Cheese Elbows with Cheddar Cheese. It was so tasty, so I didn’t even share. Shhh… I ate my serving and “hid” the rest in the back of the refrigerator for later in the day.

You can get one serving of vegetables from each serving of Birds Eye Veggie Made™ Mac & Cheese and there are no and Mac &  no artificial flavors, preservatives or dyes, plus it’s made with real cheese. It’s the perfect way to get your family to enjoy eating more veggies! Check your freezer section for all the varieties they have Mac & Cheese Shells with White Cheddar Cheese, too.

Trying new nutritious foods, especially those I can find at the grocery store is the norm for me. BUT, the hubby is a different story. He’s the huge meat and potatoes man, so introducing him to new things isn’t always easy. I was pleasantly surprised (and so was he) that he enjoyed all of the brands we tested as much as I did.

I think I may have won him over to my side, finally! Which brands do you plan to add your next grocery store trip
