This post about Outdoor Cat Dental Care was created in partnership with Espree® Oral Care Gel. I received complimentary products and compensation to facilitate my review, but all opinions within are my own.
Living in farm country means, we see our fair share of cats that come and go. Our last cat, Crab-Cakes, was a stray that stayed for 15 years until she passed away from old age. Our most recent guest arrived about four months ago and has now become part of the family. This is Cher-Ami. This unusual name was inspired by a homing pigeon that was famous in WWII. Her name came to be after a family dinner conversation about childhood pets and homing pigeons. We started calling her Cher-Ami and it stuck.
Since pets are like family members making sure they live a happy and healthy life is important. That is why we try hard to ensure our outdoor cat gets the same health care as any indoor cat receives.
Is Outdoor Cat Dental Care Important?
The answer is Yes! An outdoor cat has the same health needs as an indoor cat. Ensuring the health needs of your pets should be a priority. Taking care of a cat’s teeth will help them live a longer, healthier and happier life. We all want that for our pets, right?
Cher-Ami is a people lover. She still isn’t a fan of being held, but she will sit on your lap or rub along your feet as much as you allow. She’s definitely made herself right at home.
How to Provide Outdoor Cat Dental Care
- Be attentive. If your cat has bad breath that can be a sign of a more serious problem.
- Schedule regular vet check-ups
- Find natural products to help improve and support cat dental care.
Espree is a Natural Product for Cat Dental Care
Using essential oils to support good health is important to me. I was thrilled to find out about the ingredients in Espree Oral Care Gel.
Espree’s natural blend of peppermint oil, grapefruit seed extract, grape seed extract, thyme oil, and neem oil freshens breath instantly, removes plaque and tartar, and supports healthy gums.
Espree Oral Care is easy to use, too. No brushing required. Use Espree Oral Care Water Additive in your cat’s water bowl when you add new water each day. You can also use Espree Oral Care Gel in a Salmon Flavor. It’s like cat toothpaste without the brushing. This process is so simple. I like being able to provide our cat with an easy oral care treatment that helps prevent plaque and tartar build-up.
Espree® Oral Care Gel breaks down and removes plaque and tartar, freshens breath and works under the gum line to support overall oral health. You can use a toothbrush if you need to speed up the treatment process, but it’s not necessary. Cher-Ami is still getting accustomed to our family and building trust. We applied the gel to her paw and let her lick it off. Baby steps for our new friend!
