Spinach Dip Bread Bowl Recipe

Spinach dip is always a big hit at gatherings. It's perfect for picnics and football parties. Serve it in a bread bowl or on it's own. It's delicious any way you eat it.

Spinach Dip is the classic of all dips in my book. I make it for every family gathering we attend. Being able to serve it in a crusty bread bowl makes it even better yet! Bread bowl dips are perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and always taste great. You are sure to have everyone asking for the recipe when you volunteer to bring the dip!

You can easily make this Spinach Dip Recipe in a bowl and enjoy it just as well. Football games are another great gathering that calls for bread bowl dips! Be sure to check out our -> 101 Finger Foods Collection, many pairs up great with this dip as well!

Spinach Dip Bread Bowl Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix Dry
  • 8 oz light sour cream
  • 8 oz plain low fat greek yogurt or you can use all sour cream
  • 1 cup light mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 small box frozen chopped spinach thawed and drained
  • 2 TBSP chopped onion optional
  • 1 large round bread loaf optional

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients (not the bread) together and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Overnight is best so all the flavors can blend.
  2. Hollow out your bread bowl.
  3. If you want a toasty bread bowl, brush with olive oil and bake at 375 for 10 mins.
  4. Add dip to round bread bowl or bowl.
  5. Serve with bread, crackers or fresh vegetables.

[…] I thought I would do something a little different this week for the Features.  I usually pick DIY projects, fabric or painted pieces because of the nature of this blog and what I do.  This week however, there were so many yummy summer recipes that I thought I’d pick three that just looked scrumptious! I don’t cook very often but these look good enough to attempt it! Enjoy!Spinach Dip Bread Bowl Recipe by Just 2 Sisters […]

[…] My mom used to make this spinach dip almost every weekend for our family BBQs. It’s a classic and serving it in a crusty bread bowl makes it even better! All you need is the Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix. Follow  the directions on the packet and you got yourself the best dip everyone will love. To make it a bit healthier, I switched to yogurt instead of the sour cream. [ Image just2sisters.com ] […]

I love a bread bowl. People are always impressed, but it really is so easy. Smart to mix in the yogurt, I’m trying to do that more often since it adds protein. Granted, this isn’t a health food, but still… I can tell myself positive messages, right? Happy New Year! (visiting from Brag About It)
