Smoothie bowls are a great way to enjoy smoothies if you don’t like to drink them. I can’t get over how thick smoothies are usually so eating them in a bowl form is much more appealing to me.
Obviously in this case we’re using a creative bowl but you can put these smoothies into a regular bowl as well…any vessel you choose will work fine 😉
How many portions does this recipe make?
This recipe will make two servings of my watermelon smoothie bowl. You can cut it in half if you like or double or triple it to feed a crowd.
Also keep in mind that you can easily add your own toppings that you think will go well with this base. We’re adding strawberries, watermelon, and granola but you can also add things like mini chocolate chips, shredded coconut, or chia seeds!
The possibilities are endless and I’m sure you will come up with some great combinations each time you make these tasty watermelon smoothie bowls.
What do I need to make smoothie bowls with watermelon?
This recipe uses a mini watermelon, frozen watermelon, frozen yogurt, vanilla yogurt, milk, and some strawberries.
You can use a regular sized watermelon and just make sure you have the 4 cups of watermelon that you need if you don’t want to serve it in the halves of the watermelon!
Any kind of yogurt will work but if you are on Weight Watchers you can choose one that suits your plan.
How to make a watermelon smoothie bowl with granola:
Slice watermelon in half. Hollow out the watermelon and chop up the inside of the watermelon. Freezing the watermelon helps to keep the recipe thicker. If you prefer that be sure to freeze 4 cups of the watermelon once it’s chopped.
Place watermelon, strawberries, frozen yogurt, yogurt, milk into a blender and blend. It will be thick.
Fill the hollowed out watermelon with the smoothie.
Top with toppings
This recipe is really easy to make, as you can see, it’s just a few steps and you are all set! After you have made your smoothie base you can top with all of your favorite crunches and extras. Let everyone top their own for a fun build your own smoothie bowl kind of session in the mornings.

Instructions
