Easy Ways to Support A Sick Family Member is my honest experience using Zicam® as part of a sponsored series with Socialstars.

The end of 2017 has been a whirlwind for me. One thing always holds true, my life is never boring. I am always busy and trying to find ways to help others anyway I can. My mom has had multiple surgeries and a plethora of medical appointments these last few months. Trying to be supportive and help out is hard, when you live 600 miles away. I don’t want to let those miles stop me from showing how much I care. That’s why I am trying hard to use these five easy ways to support a sick family member from a distance.

Call or Text

Most of us have our phones with us at all times. A quick text, phone call or even a video chat will make it easy to stay connected.  Calls or texts are great. But every now and then you want to hop on a video call or chat to take a true look at your sick family member and their condition.  The video calls can help you get a better idea of what you can do to to support a sick family member from afar.

Send an eCard

Confession:  I am HORRIBLE about sending cards. (It’s Dec. 21 and my Christmas cards are still in the package). For some reason I always put things that need to go snail mail on the bottom of the list.  That’s why eCards are the perfect way to show you care. Visit Zicam Card Isle eCard Creator  and pick out your favorite Get Well, Thinking of You, or Thank You card and send it off in a flash.  Use the free service to send a  fun or cheery eCard and show a sick family member how much you care.

Arrange a Meal Train

Everyone needs food! When your under the weather, having a friend or family member stop by and deliver a meal is always a huge relief. People are always asking how they can help. An extra casserole or two can save the day.

Send a Care Package

Everyone likes to get gifts. Sending a small gift is the perfect way to support a sick family member. Wrap a few of their favorite things and ship it off. OR if you have a problem getting things in the mail (like me) ordering flowers or gifts online is also an easy option.

Take Care of Yourself

This may not seem like the best way to support a sick family, but it really is the most important! You have to be prepared to stop at anytime and go to that sick family member if you are needed. Your health and wellness has to be a priority so you can support others. Don’t get so caught up in doing for others that you forget to do for yourself. You don’t have time to be under the weather, so at the first sign of a cold be proactive. Be sure to have Zicam® Homeopathic Cold Shortening Remedies on hand.
