Crock Pot Weight Watchers Baked Apples Recipe

Aside from holiday entertaining, fall is the time of year that my crock pot sees the most use.  Making this Weight Watchers Baked Apples Slow Cooker Recipe had the whole house smelling incredible.

INGREDIENTS

– 4 large baking apples – 1/3 cup flour – 8 tsp Truvia Natural sweetener with brown sugar blend – 1/2 cup uncooked old fashioned oats – 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce, or the apple you scoop out pureed in food processor – 2 Tablespoons cinnamon – 4 TBSP Whipped Cream – 1/2 cup water

1. Using a melon baller or paring knife, hollow out the apples leaving about 1/2 inch wall.

2. Combine the flour, truvia, oats and cinnamon together slowly add just enough apple sauce to make the mixture crumbly.

3. Place the apples in the crock pot.

4. Portion out the oat mixture into the apple cavities, and then pour the water into the bottom of the crockpot.

5. Place the lid on the crockpot and cook on high for 2 hours, until the apples are softened.

6. Serve plain or with a dollop of light whipped cream and sprinkle of cinnamon.

The recipe has been tweaked from original calorie filled baked apples to a new and improved Weight Watchers Friendly version with just three WW SmartPoints per serving. Dust off that crock pot and make yourself some delicious fall treats!
