Many times when we jump on board with a new diet or exercise plan we fall short when it comes to dessert! Finding healthy dessert options that are actually satisfying can be difficult on some healthy eating plans.
That’s where Weight Watchers is different. You have more flexibility to actually LIVE your life and eat what you like. Of course that also means making smarter choices in other areas for the rest of the day or week, depending on how you “spend” your points.
The possibilities are endless, once you get started on one of the three myWW plans you’ll see how you can customize your experience to help maximize the benefits and learn to live a healthy lifestyle!
Here’s what you’ll need to make a Weight Watchers banana spit:
This recipe uses fresh fruit like bananas and strawberries with classic banana split ingredients like maraschino cherries, aerosol whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and of course we can’t forget the ice cream.
This recipe calls for Enlightened ice cream but you can substitute in a light or healthy ice cream that you love, just make sure to check the points!
How to make a healthy banana split:
First we start by placing the banana in a bowl. Cut it in slices if you like or cut it in half. However you prefer it is fine!
Next, put the ice cream in and top with sliced strawberries, whipped cream, and sprinkles.
A cherry on top is the finishing touch!
This recipe is for one serving. The points breakdown below is for one serving. Make sure to recalculate if you use any differing ingredients as that can impact the points for your plan!
How many Weight Watchers points are in this recipe?
This recipe is about 3 Freestyle Smart Points on Blue, Purple, and Green. If you like the Weight Watchers ice cream bars you can use those in place of the ice cream as well. Use the points info on the box of ice cream bars in that case!
The points in this recipe are coming mainly from the enlightened ice cream and the aerosol whipped topping.
If you want to beef up your toppings mix in some other berries. Blueberries and raspberries are great you can also use frozen berries for a chilly topping on your Weight Watchers banana split!
