Whipped coffee or Dalgona coffee as it’s known across the Internet has been all the rage lately. It’s a relatively new trend but the idea is nothing new. We love whipping stuff until it turns into something new and exciting…like whipped cream or pudding or butter!

Where did Dalgona coffee come from?

Dalgona or whipped coffee originated in South Korea and became insanely popular thanks to TikTok, a social media app that is popular across all age groups but mostly with young people and influencers.

What do you need to make Weight Watchers whipped coffee?

Like all whipped coffee recipes you should only need about four ingredients. We’ll be using instant coffee, sugar, your milk of choice, and some hot water.

How to make the perfect dalgona coffee:

Place the instant coffee, sugar and hot water into a bowl.

Whipped coffee on the whisk ready to be enjoyed.

Use a whisk or hand mixer to whip the coffee until you reach a thick whipped cream kind of consistency. Not going to sugar coat things here…it’s much easier with a mixer. If you do this by hand it’s going to take awhile so be prepared!

Next fill 2 glasses with ice and then fill halfway with the milk. You can use whatever type of milk you like but we’re using unsweetened almond milk to calculate the points listed below for the myWW programs.

Place the whipped coffee on top and enjoy. Split it evenly between the two cups, if you only want to make one serving just cut the recipe in half!

How many points are in this Weight Watchers Dalgona Coffee?

My Weight Watchers whipped coffee recipe is made with almond milk that is unsweetened. It’s the lowest points for milk and it’s what I usually have on hand so it’s what I used!

You can change your milk to use whatever you like but make sure you recalculate the points in that case. They ARE different for skim milk, cashew milk, oat milk, etc.

Which WW Program are these points for?

WW has definitely changed from 2020 to now. They went from three to one plan to multiple plans and back to one plan again. So in 2023, we have just plain old “POINTS.”

  • Be sure to calculate the points value of the foods and recipes you eat in the app.
  • Always add ingredients and serving sizes and don’t rely on the nutrition facts in the recipe.
  • Accuracy will come from the information you input on the app.

A big portion of the points in this recipe come from the sugar. If you need to cut back the points just use a sugar substitute like swerve or stevia! It will work out fine but make sure you calculate accordingly because sugar and stevia are not 1 to 1 for amounts!
