What if I don't desire any of the zero points? Do I still have to eat them to make the plan work? I chose the Green Plan because we eat out so much. The first meal I had was from Red Lobster. It was popcorn shrimp fried, cole slaw, a cheddar biscuit & some broccoli. I felt like I blew it, actually I decided to blow that day because I wanted to wait till Monday to get a fresh start & go out & get some of the zero point things to keep in my pantry. I'm an old school Weight Watcher member from 1985. Water was the key, no fried foods, no sugar nothing. This seems a little bizarre to me. I'd like to lose weight as fast as I can. I have a wedding in April. I'm 173, need to lose 30-40 pounds by then if possible. Need to know what works best. Maybe I need less points in a day, like the purple plan. Please help.

Michele, Just a note to say how much I love your webpage!! Love the recipes. I'm wondering, I'm getting ready to retire soon, I work in a school library. Finally a blog that I can relate to. Thank you Michele! I am a divorced mother of two adult daughters. My youngest daughter is about to move out and start her teaching career and my older daughter has already moved out. They have both come and gone since college, but I believe this is it and I will truly be an emptynester.

I have a hard time eating my 30 points each day. I find at night I'm looking for snacks to fill my points. I usually eat between 24 to 28 points. Will that slow my weight loss down?

Hi Sherry, thanks for stopping by. Yes your weight loss may be affected if you aren't eating all of your points. When this happened to me, I bumped up my protein and it helped. Hard boiled eggs, string cheese, imitation crab legs, beef jerky, tuna are all things I snack on. Even though they are low in points they help me get all of my points each day. I hope that helps!
