“Women need to put themselves at the top of the to-do list.” This is the mantra that drives health and wellness blogger Michele Brosius. As the creator and founding editor of Midlife Healthy Living, she helps women over age 40 find easy ways to nourish their bodies, minds and souls.

A blogger and digital influencer, Michele is able to address the needs and struggles of motivated women first hand. She connects with women on their level, having been through similar situations that they face. She knows that many women deprive themselves of rest, personal relationships, healthy food and exercise because she’s been that woman. But when she realized that without those things she was not only depriving herself, but her family, she knew something had to change.

Drawing upon her experience as an early childhood educator Michele knows exactly what it takes to nurture and develop a positive mindset and behaviors changes. That expertise coupled with encounters from her own life as a wife and mom have given her a unique perspective to help women flip their nurturing instincts from others to themselves.

Through her health and wellness blog, Midlife Healthy Living, Michele shares healthy lifestyle tips, recipes and travel inspiration stories that connect with over 200,000 women each month. Her desire to help women truly put themselves first inspired her to start the Connect and Learn Retreat, an intimate 3-day event where women in business refresh, reconnect and re-emerge with new goals, ready to make more amazing moments in their lives.

Michele is a married empty nest mom of three whose passion is helping her family and others live healthier lives. Hello. I found this when I was accepted by Miss. Katie on her sight. She is such a Blessing. I want to try some of your recipes since I am 63 and needing to lose over 100 lbs. Am I allowed to print the recipes so that I can have them in a note book. I really appreciate this.

I have a hard time eating my 30 points each day. I find at night I’m looking for snacks to fill my points. I usually eat between 24 to 28 points. Will that slow my weight loss down?

Hi Sherry, thanks for stopping by. Yes your weight loss may be affected if you aren’t eating all of your points. When this happened to me, I bumped up my protein and it helped. Hard boiled eggs, string cheese, imitation crab legs, beef jerky, tuna are all things I snack on. Even though they are low in points they help me get all of my points each day. I hope that helps! Best, Michele

Finally a blog that I can relate to. Thank you Michele! I am a divorced mother of two adult daughters. My youngest daughter is about to move out and start her teaching career and my older daughter has already moved out. They have both come and gone since college, but I believe this is it and I will truly be an emptynester.
