Sweet BBQ Grilled Corn on the Cob

Sweet BBQ Grilled Corn on the Cob is sponsored by Stubb’s Bar-B-Q Sauce but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

Nothing says summer like fresh sweet corn! In PA we can readily purchase sweet corn from late May until October and we take full advantage of it. Whether it’s for a picnic, camping or just because you can usually find a stash of corn on the cob in our fridge.

Plus, I just found out you can freeze the corn whole in the husk in a brown paper bag. We bought a case of corn from the farmer’s market mid-June and have been using it straight from the freezer ever since. If you use it directly from the freezer you’ll have to increase the cooking times by a few minutes or you can thaw it in the refrigerator and cook as normal. This is a huge time saver!

One of our favorite ways to prepare corn on the cob is on the grill. Grilled corn on the cob is delicious and takes little to no prep. (My kind of cooking)

Grilled corn on the cob

We made Sweet BBQ Grilled Corn on the Cob on our charcoal grill. You could easily make it on a gas grill or campfire, too.

You only need a few ingredients.  Corn on the cob, Stubb’s® Bar-B-Q Sauce, French’s Mustard, and honey.

Did you know Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q sauces are gluten-free, have no MSG, no HFCS, no trans fats, and no sulfites? That’s why it’s the number one choice for our grilling needs.

You can find all the ingredients you need at Walmart. Head to the BBQ Sauces aisle for the Stubb’s® Bar-B-Q Sauce always in a glass bottle. And if you need to stock up you can find the French’s Mustard right there in the same aisle, too. Easy!

Prepare corn on the cob. Remove one layer or few pieces of husk but make sure the corn stays completely covered.

Roast over hot coals on covered grill, turning every 5 to 7 minutes until kernels are tender. (Approx 15 minutes).

While the corn is roasting start preparing your sauce.

Grilling Sauce Ingredients

2 oz Stubb’s® Bar-B-Q Sauces

1 Tablespoon French’s Yellow Mustard

1 1/2 teaspoon honey

Stir all the ingredients together in a small glass bowl or jar.

When corn is done to your liking remove husks and brush with prepared sauce and grill for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.

Eat and enjoy!

Sweet BBQ Grilled Corn on the Cob turned out amazing. The perfect sweetness with a little kick at the end. No other seasonings needed.

You can count on Stubb’s® Bar-B-Q Sauces to get the job done with all of your grilling needs. Whether it’s corn, ribs or chicken the all-natural ingredients to big, bold flavors satisfy all. You don’t need fancy ingredients or anything overly sophisticated – just genuinely good products that complement all kinds of meat.
