Confession time. I had to dust off the Crock Pot before I could make this Crock Pot Ham Recipe. I have a crock pot problem! I love them! I have (too) many of them! I forget to use them!

Seriously, there are at least six different crock pots in this house and there is usually only two of us eating a meal. What emptynest couple needs six crock pots? Apparently, I don’t since I forget to use them.

Last week, I actually remembered to pull it out and try a Crock Pot Ham Recipe. I kept seeing these recipes all over my Pinterest feed, but was skeptical of putting a whole ham in the crock pot to cook.

I am happy to admit that my skepticism was way off. This Crock Pot Ham Recipe is DELICIOUS!! Juicy, tender and all kinds of yum!

What kind of ham should I use for this recipe?

I opted to use a boneless fully cooked ham in my Crock Pot Ham Recipe. This recipe is based on a Pinterest Remake of the recipe posted by TheFrugalGirls.Com. This recipe was modified to fit our families preferences and I had to make a few ingredient subsitutions due to lack of ingredients.

For some reason I have a bad habit of going to the grocery store and not coming home with the items on my shopping list. The list is usually at home on the counter after I get to the store. (FAIL) Thanks to another botched grocery shopping trip, cherry juice was a substitue for the normal pineapple juice.

It was a happy mix up and ended up being super delicious! Check out the results below and try this tasty Crockpot ham recipe for yourself.

You can add cherries or pineapples to top of ham, if you wish.

Place lid on Crock Pot and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours.

Check the internal temperature of your ham.

As soon as the food thermometer reads 165 degrees your ham is fully reheated/cooked.

Slice, serve and enjoy!

Will this recipe for ham get dry?

This recipe is absolutely delicious! You would think putting a fully cooked ham in the crock pot, might dry it out. No sir! The crock pot holds the moisture in doing its job perfectly.

I need to get better at this whole Crock Pot thing. When the kids were at home I used my Crock Pots all of the time. Now they just collect dust. This ham was so easy to make. It was juicy and had a lot of flavor.

We cooked the whole ham, ate one meal and froze all of the leftovers for future meals. I like having the ready to serve foods in the freezer for easy meals. I am going to add “Get better at using the Crock Pot” to my to do list!

  1. I’m going to try this. Like you, I used my crock pot more when the kids were home. Now I only use it for roast once a month. Hardly worth storing a big crock pot for that.
When I cook my ham in the oven, I use maple syrup, dry mustard and rum for the glaze. Do you think that would work in the crock pot?

My niece fixed this ham for us at Christmas and it was the best ham we ever ate. I have tried it with pineapple and will use cherries next.
