Homemade Turkey Apple Cinnamon Sausage is a delicious Weight Watchers friendly recipe to add to your breakfast recipe ideas.
Mornings are definitely not my favorite time of the day. I stay up later than I should at night, so I end up dragging myself out of bed when the alarm clock rings.
Somedays that means I don’t have time to fuss with a breakfast recipe that is too involved or difficult to prepare. Instead of grabbing a banana as I run around getting ready for the day, I started prepping these apple cinnamon turkey sausage patties in advance so I can pop them in the microwave and throw together a more appealing breakfast on the fly.

When you only have a few minutes to get ready and out the door (because you hit the snooze three times), you need quick and easy breakfast ideas.
Homemade turkey apple cinnamon sausage isn’t just quick and easy, it tastes amazing, too! On Sunday afternoon, I make the sausages, freeze them, and then they are ready to heat and go on busy mornings.

What you need to make this tasty sausage at home
Again, we’re all about the easy. Our Homemade Turkey Apple Cinnamon Sausage recipes only uses three ingredients. Turkey Sausage, apple, and cinnamon. You could easily substitute pork or fresh chicken sausage, too.

What kind of sausage should I use?
For this recipe, you’ll want to use a loose, ground sausage. Do not use a link sausage as it will be too dry. What kind of apple should I use? For tartness, go with a Granny Smith apple. For sweetness, try a honeycrisp or braeburn apple.
Can I make this recipe ahead of time?
Yes! This recipe can be made up to two days in advance. Just cook the sausage and apples according to the recipe instructions, then store in an airtight container in the fridge until you’re ready to eat. Enjoy!
You can also freeze these patties so that they are ready to be thawed out and heated up whenever you need them. I just pop them onto a paper towel and stick them in the microwave. You can also heat them up in the oven, toaster oven, or the air fryer.

How to Make Ground Turkey Apple Sausage
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Place foil on or use a silicone baking sheet on a large baking sheet.

Using a cheese grater, grate your apple. Using paper towels, press any liquid from the apples.
Add the grated apple and cinnamon to the turkey sausage. (You may need to use your hands to get your ingredients thoroughly combined.)

Form the mixture into small, flat patties.

Place the patties on the baking sheet. Cook patties for 10-12 minutes or until browned and no longer pink in the middle. Enjoy!
Make sure the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees and their ready to eat! This batch makes about 12 patties and you can easily double it to make enough for the whole month at one time if you like!
Pair your Turkey Apple Cinnamon Sausage with other quick and easy breakfast foods like yogurt, eggs, or fruit. These sausage patties would also go great on a breakfast sandwich.
