Do you have other shopping guides?

I do, in fact I’ve made shopping guides for Target, Costco, and even Aldi stores. All of them are geared towards Weight Watchers shopping and each includes everything from Weight Watchers snacks to ingredients you can use to build entire meals!

Walmart is a great place to find Weight Watchers products because they’re popular, you can shop for the same products anywhere, even when traveling! I like that shopping at Walmart gives me an excellent selection of products while also being affordable.

What makes food Weight Watchers approved?

Unlike some diet and lifestyle programs, you don’t have to eat from an approved list of foods while doing the Weight Watchers program. There’s no foods that are off limits. We all have a calculated number of points to get us through the day / week. Each food we eat needs to be tracked!

As long as you are tracking the foods you are eating, they’re approved for Weight Watchers. It’s as simple as that. Once you get into the habit of tracking things that are in your hand or on your plate, it becomes second nature. Now I don’t usually eat anything before it’s plugged into my app.

This is the process that really taught me to think about my choices when it comes to food. The portion sizes, the points, the process of calculating those figures before eating.

It all works together to teach smart choices. After awhile I know to grab certain things versus their more processed counterparts because I know the points will be lower!

How do you figure out the points for these items?

Good question! I use my Weight Watchers app and the WW program to find sensible food choices at Walmart. The serving sizes are listed for many of these items some of them are more / less than what might be considered “standard” for that product.

If being on Weight Watchers has taught me nothing else, it’s taught me that standard portion sizes in the US are sometimes seriously skewed. You have to find the right balance for yourself and your points!

    I made a vegetable soup with a cup of V-8 Vegetable Juice and one shredded baked boneless skinless chicken breast and some chopped up onion and a bag of mixed frozen vegetables and I put three tablespoons of barley in it and let it boil and then reduced the heat and let it simmer I put some fat free vegetable broth in it and a 14 ounce can of diced tomatoes with green chilies in it Very good soup I enjoyed it I counted it as just 3 points because I also added a can of white kidney beans that were drained and rinsed so the points came from the V-8 Vegetable Juice only
