Weight Watchers Sausage Stuffing Ingredients

This recipe uses white bread in cubes, whole wheat bread in cubes, low fat turkey sausage, cooked celery, sweet onions, apples, raisins, sage, parsley, thyme, eggs, fat free chicken broth, and some salt and pepper.

It’s actually quite an easy recipe and there’s nothing too complicated in it so you don’t have to worry about finding difficult ingredients during the holiday rush!

Weight Watchers Sausage Stuffing Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and place cubed bread in oven until lightly toasted at about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Saute’ sausage with onions, celery, apples and craisins and salt and pepper.
  3. Mix all ingredients in large bowl and add egg whites and fresh herbs.
  4. Spoon stuffing into a 9 x 13 casserole dish and bake until browned on top. This will take about 45 minutes.

This recipe makes 12 servings, and it’s just 3 Weight Watchers Smart Points per serving on all three plans. This recipe was inspired by Weight Watchers.

Ingredients

  • 10 slices of white bread cubed
  • 10 slices of light whole wheat bread cubed, Sara Lee is good
  • 6 oz lowfat turkey sausage
  • 3 medium cooked celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 medium uncooked sweet onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 small fresh apples
  • 1/4 cup craisins
  • 2 Tablespoons sage
  • 1.5 Tablespoons parsley
  • 1/2 Tablespoon thyme, chopped
  • 2 1/4 cup fat free chicken broth
  • 2 egg whites
  • pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I just updated the recipe because I saw a few errors I missed when my recipe contributor submitted. A 9 x 13 casserole dish serves 24. So you would cut into 24 equal pieces. For 24 servings the Smart Points are 2 per serving. So if you’d like to enjoy a bit more, cut into 12 equal servings for 4 Smart Points. Enjoy!!
